Fishtail plait:
·
Divide hair into two sections, parting down the
middle. For
a sharper look, you can use a comb to part your hair evenly.
·
Pull a thin strand of hair from the outside of the
left section. Pull
it over the top of the left section, and grasp it under the right section. In
other words, the strand of hair has gone over the left section and
finishes under the right section.
·
Repeat on the right side. Pull a skinny strand of
hair from the outside of the right section, pull it over the right section,
then weave it under the left section.
· Keep alternating
sides, weaving over and under, until you reach the bottom of the braid.
·
Tie off the end with a hair tie.
French plait:
French plait:
·
Make sure hair is thoroughly brushed
to remove all tangles.
·
Take a large section of hair from the
centre. Separate the section into three even strands.
·
Take the strand on the right and
cross it over the center. Then take the strand from the left and cross it over
the center.
·
Continue this pattern of crossing
strands diagonally over the center strand, but gradually begin incorporating additional
hair. Before you cross a strand over to the other side, select another section
of hair and include it in the cross-over.
·
Continue incorperating hair into the braid until the remaining
loose strands have been completely braided.
·
Finish the braid continuing a regular plait and finish
with a hair tie.
Above, is a regular
french plait. Below, is a french plait with the strands going the opposite
direction. This had made the braid stand out more.
Bun:
· Brush
hair and tie into a ponytail. If someone has a larger mass of hair tie into two
sections.
· For
thicker hair, double band to secure it better.
· Section
ponytail into four sections.
· Start
with the top section. Using finger, wrap hair around to form a ‘barrel’ and
secure to the head using curby grips.
·
Repeat on the other three sections.
·
Use hair pins to join the three section
together.
